    Default Bankroll Management

I usually play 4 $25 buy in cash games and I have a bankroll of over $2000. I'm thinking about moving up to $50, once I make a couple more hundred dollars. What kind of bankroll do some of you have when playing at $50 tables?

My largest downswing at NL100 over 3-400k hands is this month, 18 buyins.. I would always recommend 40 BI's tho

That beeing said, with great tableselection and playing 4 tables at once i dont think a good winning player would ever go over like 12 buyin downswing fullring

well that is nice. you do have to manage though. you cant win every hand and the best hand never wins.

$1k should be standard if you have an edge in the game.

jessy, I will murder you in your sleep.

40BI should be fine @ 50NL. I have $500 swings once every 30k hands or so. 50NL on a 1k roll is suicidal.
And that's my nit-ring suggestion. For 6m and HU you need more imo.

What? $1k should be standard. Drop to $500 (which is starting roll for $25) then move down and grind it back up. I don't think 10 stack swings are very standard.

This is about the only part of your post that is correct.

40-50 buy-ins. I like 50BIs if you are adding several tables.

just because he has a low post count does not mean he is wrong. his sn is jessyj (presumably) and he is good....

10 stack swings are not standard if you are crushing the games however for a new player moving up maybe 30-40buyins is better.

hmm? I never had more than like a 3 BI swing at NL50 it's ez mode
I say 30 BI is enough

if you want to play serious poker for a living, i would think that 30BI or above is a healthy BR. I had two 11 BI swing last year from my 350k 100NL hands database. Luckily, i still made lots of money and maintained a decent winning rate.
20BI is good for fun and entertainment IMO. Also, 25BI is enough for any 200NL live soft games.
