Default $12/180 button shove, 16 left, standard?

SB has been playing squeaky tight so I'm not worried about him. BB has been playing pretty solid LAGG poker and is a winning player at this level. I am somewhere in the top 3 in chips at this point.

    Standard?

seems like there are some chips missing?

i dont think the blinds are high enough relative to your stack to push J3s.

Im having a hard time read that hand conversion for some reason, but if the blinds are 1600, and you have close to 27,000, then thats an insta fold for me, you still have close to 15 BB's left and J3s is easily dominated

Looking at the size of SB and BB's stacks, this doesn't look too out of line. You're not putting your tournament life at risk, and they have to have a pretty solid hand to call here. Yup, sounds pretty standard to me. Playin for the win.

If your read on SB is correct this is +EV. The BB will be getting ~1.36:1 which isn't a great price for him, so his calling range will need to be a bit tighter IMO.

Basically though, you should be throwing your weight around in this situation, there are 3450 chips up for grab, make a play for them.

Seems like a losing play vs. people who will call correctly but if one of the blinds is too tight then it's probably good.

    I gave the SB a calling range of 33+, A7+, A2s+, KQ, KTs+
    and the BB a calling range of 22+, A2+, K5+, K2s+, Q9+, Q8s+, J9s+

and it seems barely +EV. I'm not sure whether the SB will call tighter than that, but I'd guess my range is pretty accurate for a good player in the BB.

I think that it depends on how you look at it. From an ICM standpoint it's a fold almost regardless of BB's calling range. From a chip equity view it's a shove if the BB is calling 30% or less.

But, in these 180's I'm always confused at this point in the tourney and not sure what to follow since the payout is 1% for 18-10. Usually I'm not considering ICM until I'm at the FT. What's the best way to look at this?

oh 16 left. that explains the "missing chips".

mcat dog you give the BB K5+? comon. if you were that big blind, would you ever call your last 11k with blinds 800/1600 with K5? idc if the blinds are 800/1600.
idk maybe im stupid and dont know everything about ranges and such, i just cant imagine myself doing it with anything less than K9+ thats all.

but yes good push from the button.

I do it all the time, I take it you're one of those people who calls me a donkey in the chatbox when I call here and double through your 95?

Sorry but I'm folding here. If I had a marginally better hand then yah.... I'm shoving here (ie J-9s). Don't I want something with a bit more showdown value on the off chance that BB is calling here (w as was mentioned.. K-5+). I personally would.

I need 97s or better, connectors 76s. I think J3s is out of line.

On what you'd need to call this bet. SB and BB are calling for all of their chips against a push of M=8. Trouble is they have M of around 3 and 5 respectively. With 16 left, regulars will be calling a wide range going for a top 5 finish and others folding much to much thinking mistakenly that they can hold on for the next pay hike.

BB likely to call any half decent hand, possibly Ax, Kx, Q8+, any pair and connectors 78s+, 9T+

I wouldn't call it standard but if you're read is right I can see this move. I'd probably just fold though.
