Default Good bluffing opportunity on second hand of tourney?

No reads because my HUD hadn't even appeared yet.

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 2+0.25 Tournament, 10/20 Blinds (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button (t1490)
    SB (t1480)
    BB (t1500)
    UTG (t1500)
    UTG+1 (t1260)
    MP1 (t1770)
    MP2 (t1500)
    Hero (MP3) (t1500)
    CO (t1500)

    Hero's M: 50.00

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with ,
    2 folds, MP1 calls t20, MP2 calls t20, Hero bets t110, 4 folds, MP1 calls t90, MP2 calls t90

    Flop: (t360) , , (3 players)
    MP1 bets t20, MP2 calls t20, Hero calls t20

    Turn: (t420) (3 players)
    MP1 bets t60, MP2 calls t60, Hero raises to t300, MP1 calls t240, 1 fold

    River: (t1080) (2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets t1070 (All-In)

Without icm, this bluff only has to work half the time to be profitable and i put him squarely on missed draws (mp or split pairs are also big possibilities). I'd be very surprised to be called here and would be shocked to be called and have opponent flip a jack.

    Smart play?

Without a read, no. Too many donks who can make a hero call with A-high or any pair that you can stack with marginally better holdings later on.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

You're playing a $2.25 MTT and raised big pre and nobody folded. Does that tell you anything? Bluff less to almost nonexistent in low buy-ins especially early until you have reads that tell you that your bluffs can be successful.

preflop good, flop good, turn absolutely terrible, river probably good

Well when he bets 60 on the turn you should be putting him on a range that includes some % of draws, some % of middle pairs, some % of total air that he's just clicking buttons with, and very rarely a monster. I would say a draw is probably his most likely holding but I could be wrong.

Anyway when you raise the turn I don't think he's folding any of those hands except for total air which he doesn't have often enough for the turn raise to be good. In order to win the pot you need him to both 1) have a draw and 2) have that draw miss on the river. Most rivers do complete some sort of draw where shoving is too risky because he might have just gotten there. You just got lucky that the river was a good card to bluff because all the draws missed. That is why the turn raise is terrible, because on most rivers you won't be able to bluff profitably.

detailed explanation is greatly appreciated. i DEFINITELY put him on a draw here and that's why i bluffed here, but i guess i'm wrong in thinking that players are folding this. understanding that donkeys aren't folding draws could actually really plug a leak in my game

Just play standard ABC poker. Meaning, when you have a hand bet it hard. Don't get tricky. Also, when you go deep in these smaller buy-ins, you will find that most players at the end aren't that good as well. So, bluffs don't work as well even towards the end. Plus, stack sizes are generally shallow and don't give you a lot of room to make moves.
