Default $60 6 max AK vs HS reg.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $55+$5 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB (t2240)
    UTG (t418)
    Button (t2753)
    Hero (SB) (t3589)

    Hero's M: 11.96

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, K
    1 fold, Button bets t2753 (All-In), [color=#CC3333]Hero ???

Btn is a High stakes 6 max SNG reg. He has made well over 100k according to sharkscope and is up over 40k this year on stars alone and more on Full tilt.
In this tourney he hasnt standard raised for a few orbits, he just tends to overshove either bvb or from the button.

Yeah no way I'm dropping that. AA or KK is unlikely given the shove rather than raise. So I'm guessing smaller pp or Ax, or maybe even highish suited connectors. Either way, I call and hope for the best.

Yeah trying to play the bet-size leveling game against people who are much better at poker than you is an awful idea and it's just not going to work out for you. Just assume he's shoving his whole range, do the best you can to figure out what that range is and plug it into SNG Wiz.

I'd give him any pair, any broadway, any suited ace, and maybe a few more hands, 60% seems good enough to call.

    huh? 60% of what?

Anyway I think this range is way too wide. Theres no way hes shoving stuff like QJos here. Not even KJ. Probably not even AJ. I assume hes going to raise/fold that stuff.
Admittedly havent really played with him much, but I think his range here is pretty tight.
Basically out of his opening range, I'm guessing hes raise/calling the top part and raise/folding the bottom part of his range, whilst shoving the stuff in between.
Or I could be completely wrong and hes shoving everything hes opening, just a tighter range. Although I don't think this can be optimal.

I ran this with a few different ranges and unless we assume that Button is stupid tight, I can't find a range where a call doesn't make sense. A smart player can shove pretty light here due to the shortstack (even though it isn't the bubble). A smart player may also shove strong hands because he doesn't want to have to raise and make a tough decision if somebody shoves over. The very fact that we are debating what to do with AK in this spot is evidence that shoving wide can be quite profitable in this spot.

    The ranges I used were:
    - Button shoves 55-JJ, ATo+, A9s+
    - BB calls with TT+, AQs+, AKo

    and calling was +0.8% EV.

Did you use wiz or sngpt?

I wizzed it earlier and I think BTN had to be on something like 22% to make it a call. Im off to bed now anyway but will wiz it again tomorow.
