    Default 24+2 FT 17k - weird spot w 99 OOP

Sorry I don't have the hand history I'll try to re-create as best I can.
No previous history with Villain as I was just moved to this table about 15minutes prior and he had not been involved in any showdowns.

    Blinds: 150/300
    Stacks:
    (UTG+1) (6,700)
    BTN (10,600)
    Hero (SB) (15,500)

    Pre-flop:
    UTG+1 calls 300,
    4 folds,
    BTN calls 300,
    Hero is SB
    Hero raises to 1150

    UTG+1 folds,
    BTN raises to 10,600

    Hero ???

    9450 to win ~12500 ?
    Call leaves me w ~4000.
Around 290 players left, 72 pay. The post-ep limper button limp-shove? wtf is this?

I would snapshove this pretty quickly although I understand if you want to fold...we're relatively deep. I think this is almost always a small PP although sometimes you'll see a KQ/AT type hand. Since you crush this range, shove. I don't mind paying off people who trap me by playing AA this weird.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

i don't think its clear who's doing what and from what position.

its saying your re-raising yourself. did the Button re-shoved after limping?
guys he's just looking to complain about taking coolers/beats

he'll continue to be the type of poker player we all love, the one that isn't any good but thinks he is, and slowly donates to the regulars.

is this the first hand he's played?... no other raising or limping in?

Yeah this is the first hand I've seen him play.

Srry I had Villain as SB.
I am SB and he is on the button.

    He limp-shoves 35bb's?

i guess if its the first hand you've seen him involved in, after sitting there for 15 hands.... that might give more weight to not risking it.

what about the guy on the BB? was he very active and aggressive? were you raising every pot before this hand? LOL. what was your image?

yeah, I'd call too. With a EP limper it's a pretty weird spot to trap since the limper is almost surely going to call a raise pre.

anyone who limps behind and then shoves almost never has much. shove and expect to see 22-88 a ton. if it was UTG it would be different story and it might be a fold

Ive never seen a second limper trapping with a big hand.
    Guess you have to call

I've seen very passive players limp behind with like TT/JJ, or AK/AQ. Of course, play long enough at low-mid stakes and you'll see anything (I saw a guy limp behind with AA in the SB and check-raise flop, check turn and river). Still, this is a call, you see 22-88 here sooooo often.

I ended up calling fairly quickly and he flipped up AKo and I lost the race. He later berated me for calling with 9's. lol.

sigh... flipaments are so unavoidable sometimes.

Its a weird shove but I think I'm going to fold this just because even if you have him here I hate coinflips with mid pairs. Especially when you're relatively deep into a tourney. I'd wait for a better spot. But that's just me.

I'd fold here too. Way too weird of move here by this guy. I just can't see me putting him on a likely range of 22-88.. sorry.
Yah there's alot of fools playing in those tourneys along with some good players. Who in the f knows what he's doing here & why.
Personally I'm going to fold and maintain the stack I'm sitting on and wait for a better oppurtunity than this (the guessing game... no thanks).

I would call even though its in my playbookt to call with aces on odd occasions, i means his range is to big to give upp 9s here and you´ll still be in it if he wins

Does look like a huge hand or small pp. You could make a case for a shove or fold here, if flop it blank with overs a c-bet is very likely.
