Default Some hands I'd like help with.

    Okay,
here's a few hands I'm not too happy about, from a Stars $3,30. I finished 23/2970, I'm happy to have made it so deep, but I think I busted because of stupid play - should've made at least the FT.

Is this a bit too reckless 3betting? Well, I won the pot, but I could have ended up loosing a looot..
I remember I decided to bluff the flop reraise, and if he had repopped, I'd have folded.

Here's the first bomb.. I have really no idea why I played it like this. I should've realized that he can't fold here anymore because of his stack and check it?

Fold pre? I'm utg. Or bet less on the flop / not cbet at all?
There's been a couple of hands b4 this, where I raised pre (with ok hands) and took the pot down with a flop cbet, but I didn't ever show the hands down.

And I bust at 23. Would you shove pre this last hand?

Uups, that was long. Well, it's more a list of mistakes I made that I'm hoping to avoid in the future.
Am I too overly aggressive in general? I think that's a bit of a problem.
  2. #2
    Hand 48:
I'd bet maybe 2/3 or 3/4 pot on the flop here and give up pretty quickly if called. The turn is a total blank, not a good card to double barrel imo, he's calling with whatever he had on the flop. This player is so passive his range here is pretty strong, and it's BvB so he probably gives you credit for nothing.

Hand 56: Stealing is stealing. Def. fold to the reraise.

Hand 57: I'd probably let this one go. Especially with small stacks in the blinds; you're going to get squeezed here a lot and his stack really isn't big enough. As played, this flop just smacks his range so hard. Even if he doesn't have a pair, you can't be very far ahead and he's calling/reraising with a huge percentage of his range. Just c/f.

    Board: Qc Tc Jh
    Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 84.464% 82.86% 01.61% 964644 18714.00 { 66+, A5s+, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T9s, A9o+, KTo+, QTo+ }
    Hand 1: 15.536% 13.93% 01.61% 162168 18714.00 { 55 }

Hand 58: If you insist on going all aggro here, three-bet bigger and just lead the flop. I guess he had nothing, but your line is just not credible and inducing his bluff leaves him close to committed. And if you're going to three-bet bluff here, you certainly can't fold if he shoves.

Hand 60: Just fold preflop. Check-fold flop.

Hand 62: You're mixing it up with the same guy with an equally shitty hand? C'mon. You already know he's going to limp-call and you saw him shove in on a gutshot. Checking the flop after hitting a miracle is just ridiculous. You actually have a monster hand, he thinks you're full of it and he'll put it in on a weak draw.

Hand 66: Fold preflop. With a pair and FD, I'd probably raise the turn as his betting looks ridiculous.

Hand 70: I don't really think you can "take the hit" but pot odds are awfully tempting. But he's tight. Meh.

Hand 71: I guess the turn is a scare card and it worked out for you, but what exactly are you representing here? 54?

Hand 73: BvB with AKs, I'm shoving this every day of the week and thrice on Sundays.

Hand 74: I guess taking a stab on the turn is OK. I would do that here sometimes. After getting called I'd shut down. What do you think you beat on the river?

    Hand 75: Fold preflop.

Hand 79: I'd probably fold preflop. With your likely image, I might not cbet this. Sure, it's hard for him to have anything but he's probably floating you here with most of his range.

Hand 81: I would fold preflop.

    Hand 82: See 73.
  3. #3
Hand 48: Flop bet probably too big, once called you are likely dead. I cant see a reason to double barrel here. I would not call the river.

Hand 56: You have to fold to the re raise, steal seems OK I wouldn’t make it with those cards.

Hand 57: I wont call these small pairs, they just don’t seem to make any money

Hand 58: I like the play but not the villain, I wouldn’t have run the big bluff against somebody with so many chips. However If I did run it my final raise would have been much bigger.

Hand 60: fold pre. C/F on the flop,

Hand 62: You raised K5 then K6 against the same opponent. No way he thinks you have anything, last time he called with nothing more than a prayer. I would try and get it all in on that flop and that turn but agree with the fold on the end. P.s I would have folded pre

Hand 66: Id fold pre, I know the odds are tempting but you are spewing chips here.

Hand 70: I like the raise but then Id fold, you are probably dominated by a bigger Ace and at best up against a medium pair. the hand has got to big, more than a third of your stack, I dont think you can loose so much here.

    Thanks a lot for help!
In general I play well in tourneys, but I always seem to make a couple of really stupid and costly mistakes at times.
And my bluffs get way out of hand sometimes.. comments here on hand 58 are gold.
