One thing about these tourneys is that you will have to play far more aggressive to win.

This is correct, because each table except the final table is winner take all. There's no value to waiting for a better spot and outlasting people. Best practice for these is to play shorthanded cash games.

Be patient for good starting hands and be aggressive when you have a good hand.

Early in the tourney play tight like a rock. Call with only pairs, over cards, and medium aces. Try to control the pot size until you know you are going to win. Later in the tournament be very aggressive when you have good cards and if you go heads up keep your cool and don't call an all in unless you know you are going to win.

I haven't qualified for the weekend one yet on pokerstars. I usually go allin within the first 5 hands with any ace or pocket pair. After I double up I just raise it up a ton of hands. Say the blinds are 20/40 the raise bar says 80 in it well I stick a 5 6 or 7 in there to raise to 580, etc depending on how much I like the hand. I do this with any hand when the bb is a sitout. I steal the blinds and hopefully get people to fold or suckout when they do.

I guess this strategy isn't working for me as I eventually run into monsters after 2 or 3 wins. I can't win 4 in a row playing this way lol.
