Played that perfect in my book.

Had to shove the flop as there were both flush & str8 draws available. Was every chance you'd get called by lower overpairs, flush draws & even big aces with 2 overs & the inside str8 draw, which is exactly what happened. You're well ahead thers, he called all in on the flop with 7 outs. You just got unlucky.

Hi and welcome to FTR, it's good to have you here.

You played it fine. Either shove the flop or bet 1400 and call a shove or get the rest in on the turn if you're just flat called. Also I might have raised just a little less preflop (say 700-800) but if they are so loose that they will call a bigger raise then that's fine too.

By the way, please don't post results as they will affect the advice you're given - I have edited them out. Also, using the hand converter (linked in the left hand side navbar under "Popular Tools") makes your hands much easier to read than the raw format.

I agree, that was well played. Pretty much any diamond or low card would be a scare card. So rather than let one hit, you put your money in the middle and put your opponent to the test. Well played.

thats what i was thinkin but both were loose so i figured bigger was better.
another one i had a problem with probly played it bad start to finish but u tell me. its like only 16 hands in no reads-should i have even raised this? then i was sorta lost when the flop came.

good odds to call the river but that board was so bad i just had no idea what to do. was like 4:1 to call but that seemed like a "call me sucker" bet. im sure i chumped that one up??

I think you should definitely have bet the turn. You probably have the best hand, but with the board that scary you can't allow the villain to have free cards.
River is a tough spot. In a cash game I would have looked him up, I guess, but early in a tournament preserving your chips was likely a good decision.
