    Default thoughts about coaching

I have read a few articles about coaching on the 2+2 forum and I would like to know how much coaching can affect/improve your game if you are low buy-in Stng grinder

It seems to me that every beginner, who has improved with help of coach, has never read books SitnGo Strategy by Collin Moshman and Kill everyone. I dont want to say i cant learn more, but it looks unreal to make a huge progress with help of any coach. I just believe that authors of the books didnt forget put into book any special chapter which has huge impact to your game

Having a coach can help if you pick the right one, also coaching can be more profitable to you if you get one at the right time. However some of the good coaching can be costly. Here are some tips to help you on your game, also if you do decided to get coaching this will help you have better coaching sessions between you and your coach.

    1. Read books: Not all books are good but you will pick up many useful tips and information that will bring your game to a better place. A good series I can recommend Would be the Harrington On Hold'em series. That series will give you a great understanding of the game, also they are jammed packed with great situations and problems to solve.

    2. Read & Post on the forums: You should be able to find a lot of useful information. As well as get some good advice on your game.

    3. Watch other people: Watch some free online Videos of people playing poker, some are bad. But you can find many online that are good.

    4. Play: Play as much as possible, start getting some serious hours of hands logged, nothing helps like experience.

    5. Now if you still feel like you need to bring your game to another level, this may be a good time to get a coach and invest. You will have a better understanding for what he is talking about, also you will take a lot more out of the coaching experience.

Until you've bought SnG Wiz and pretty much nail the quizzes and it confirms your decisions are almost always right when you run them through it, I wouldnt bother with coaching. Much cheaper and reliable way to improve.
Just dipping my toes back in.
