Default $1 + 0.2 SNG at Pokerstars: Should i have folded AA here?

OK, this was early on in the SNG and I know my first mistake was raising by such a small amount pre flop, but should i have played differently afterwards?

I know i didnt lose much but was he just bluffing me?

Firstly, re-raise more preflop. I'd make it 180-200 to go. $1.20 players love to call, you have the best hand preflop so get them to put more chips in the pot when they're behind.

On the flop, raise more. There are almost 400 chips in the pot when it gets to you and you only bet 200. I'd make it 300-350 to go to make it a mistake for opp to call if he has a draw. As played, DEFINITELY call the shove, this is far more often a draw or Kx than a flopped flush, set or something else that has you beat.

    My advice for you:

    don't play 1,20's. That's a 20% rake, nothing to sneeze at.

I would but the next ones up on Pstars is $3 and i only have a BR of $18. I started with 10 so im gonna try to get to $30 and then ill have a go at a higher buyin.

Would $3 SNGs be that much harder than $1?

Easy call imo. 95% of the time, the worst you're up against is a pair + flush draw. That's not a great situation to be in, but you will also see Kx hands with no spade or naked Asx draw here a ton of the time. Two pair is extremely unlikely, as are sets.

The small donk then overbet shove into the PFR is almost never a strong made hand.

Good idea, see if you can win your way up to 30 buyins for the $3 level then move up.
