My background, sort of hopped between full-ring and 6max up to 25NL for a couple of years. Recently been playing a lot of the Pokerstars 45 man tourneys, with good results (50% roi), but really don't have time for tourneys.

So back to the grind, have withdrawn my bankroll down to $70 and dropping down to 2NL. Have a bet with a friend on who can grind up to $1k first starting 1st Feb.

Will post any interesting hands and progress graphs.

Well relatively bad start.

Forgot how slow the micros were, was hoping to be close to 100 hands per hour. Meaning I could play 3k hands in less than 8 hrs playing 4 tables. First session was probably closer to 50, so may need to add more tables if they are always this slow, all it takes is one player timing out on every decision...

Anyway 300 hands in on the first day, will only post results weekly as session stats are pretty meaningless (but I am up which is a good start).

Currently reading Rolf Slotblom's Professional PLO and Rizen's tourney book (nothing to do with SHNL), but should probably reread PNL and join the book club discussion.

Will post some hands later tonight.

Got to love the Sydney weekend early morning donkfest.

Quick few hundred hands over coffee against drunk euro's before breakfast, about the only thing being in the Asia Pacific Timezone is good for.

Still failing miserably to make 3k hands a week, nearer 1.5k.

+1 is out of town this weekend, so should get a few hands in inbetween playing live.

This is a tad bizarre but I am sitting at a 2NL table with a Supernova who is playing 7/7.

Ok +$29.17 after 3199 hands plus (98c short stacking PLO) means I am over $100 and rolled for 5NL.

Anybody have any suggestions on where to play? 5NL 6 max.

I realise how important rakeback/bonuses are and I don't think the benefit of fpp really kicks in until 25NL and platinum.

So probably ought to make the effort to chase bonuses/find a rakeback site.

Ok, read SpoonItNow's suggestion to stay at Stars until ready to play 25NL at Tilt.

Ok currently at $128, up 20.6 buyins so 18.73% of the way to the $1k.

Trying out stacking rather than tiling and back up to 4 tables (I tend to drop down when I change stakes). Still running at 30+ bb/100, so estimating 11k hands, so hoping to knock over 5NL in March if I can try to get 3k a week in and continue to run good.

Have put in two 400 hand sessions this week, so on target for making 3k hands for the first time.

Plan another 400 session thursday and then 2 hrs Sat and Sun mornings (4 and 5 tables) for another 800 and 1,000.

Just broke $200 and moved up to 10NL. Doing really badly on hands played though, average of 1,200 pw for the last 10 weeks.
