I'd call if I thought I could count kings as clean outs to win. Otherwise I'd fold.

    1210 to win 5035

thats about 4:1. below are made hands he might be doing this and its a breakeven play if we call. but if we count the king as a possible out, the chance that hes also on a draw as well (where both our cards would be live or we may even be ahead with king high) then this is a call

I'd call now but shove over him on the flop to start with. Unless you have a huge hand try and avoid spots where the effective stack is 1/4 PS.

Thanks, a very good advice. Guess I didn't really take into account his stack size.
FWIW, I did call, hit my ace on the river, and after that went all the way to 3rd place with what I think was good play

AFChung your range is way too tight. You're going to see QJ, a flush draw or even another KJ a lot here. I'm calling BTW.

Maybe cuz of my experience, but i would fold this, what do u have 8 outs? and if ur counting the kings,11 outs? To call something like that even if its 4:1,altought i wouldnt have spent this much till the river, but i think u need atleast 15 outs to call something like this.
if u cannot spot the sucker on the first half hour at the table, you are the sucker.

You're right, this guy was actually holding KT.
And I think pot odds mandate the call here, and even if I had lost that call, I still would be in ok shape to go on, about 4800 with 75/150 blinds. And he could always be on a bluff.

    Easy call.

    Move in on flop.

I wouldn't call this hand thought and either would raise that much :P

Up and down straight draw after the flop missed on the turn how often does a person catch on the river to make their straight?
I would probably call pot committed and you have a lot of outs.

I would've called his raise on the flop. Then if he went all in once the 8 came, would've folded no questions asked.

I hate this play from the beginning...I think if you wanted to squeeze, bet more pf. You have to think stacks vs blinds here. 600 is over 10x his stack, I would have bet it to about 1k at least. As played on the turn you have to call per mcat's range is more likely...Not to mention if you raised more pf you could get it in on the flop and it wouldn't look like an absurd over bet.

Already at the turn is difficult to fold, but in this case you only served nine aces and very few big bets probabildades and I think it would be best to fold.

I fold because there are few chances to put the ladder

there isn't a lot of not good advice here that I would strongly warn advise use and pair the board.

I think the raise was fine, maybe if you raised more he'd shove and that's where you'd probably fold your hand, but I'd definitely shove on the flop and see what happens.

Even if he calls with his pair of Q's or 10's, or 3 trips you still have outs to make a better hand.

If he has a flush draw, then he can't have two pair or trips, so unless he has KsQs, you have at least 8 outs: 2 non spade kings + 3 non spade Aces and nines. If he has trips or less, you also have at least 8 outs: 4 Aces and 4 nines. You need to call 1210 to win a pot of 5035 which is 4.2-1 and you are 4.5-1 (or better) to make your hand. Tough decision.

Its easy to say after the event, but that was about the worst possible size of raise on the flop. You made the turn difficult for yourself, but having 8 outs and very possibly more, I would have called.
