    Default How to Play AQo

I always have trouble playing AQo, especially against the reraise pre flop against my raise or against someone else's raise. Here is a sample hand of my AQ play. If I could have any help it would be greatly appreciated.

I would play as you did and play very carefully if you hit an A or Q on the flop, otherwise give up.

    fold pre to the re-raise
This is too suspicious .can be trappy

I like the original raise, no point just limping here. Once you get reraises and there is a caller, I may be tempted to just throw this away. Depends on the table and my opinion of villains though. But at £3 level, calling is fine, and if I hit top pair I'm prob not gonna let it go as the other two still have quite wide ranges at this level. Once you get shoved into on the flop you don't really have a choice.

However, don't be scared to put your hand down pre flop, sometimes the best thing you can do with any given hand is fold at as soon as possible. If you think someone has you covered, which is a reasonable opinion given a reraise & caller, then folding may be the best option.

If you weren't getting mega preflop odds on the call I would advocate a fold as well.

This. I can't see folding for another 90 with position, but if the raise tripled your raise it's an easy fold.

As a side note, if opp had QQ+ this is an example as to why preflop minraises are almost always retarded.

if you fold you're undoubtedly missing out on value, but it's a better and less costly "wrong" decision to make than to call and proceed to play the hand poorly postflop (which is very very easy to do in this scenario).

i advocate one of two answers: if you're comfortable with your postflop play, then call and proceed with caution, thoroughly considering ranges if and when you hit a TPGK. if you're not comfortable with your multi-way, 3-bet pot play postflop then you can fold and pay close attention to the hand trying to put each player on ranges and making reads on their bets, so that you can value town some donks next time this scenario comes up.

    either way, ranges ranges ranges

    AQ
u can raise with these cards probly better if they are suited just know that if u do have a aq someone esle may have ak and it maybe a bad lose if u dont laydown. If ur in a tournament around the bubble or have a big chip lead its said u should fold AQ u realy should because if u are reckalce with aq ak u definetly should fold them. but what i like to do is just not fold them but not raise them either and if someone goes all in i would fold them becausei already have a big chip lead

Preflop: You are getting incredibly good pot odds with the minraise and the cold caller, however such min raises are often AA or KK. I will play this as you did
