Default Is a push correct here or should I have just raised?

I think I played this right, but just want to make sure. I was going to triple his bet on the flop but that would have been half my stack so I thought a push was better. Should I be worried about him having a higher pocket pair? He was reasonable tight btw.

A read better than "he was reasonable tight" would help here imo.

Have you seen him bet-fold the flop before? This spot is pretty marginal but a shove seems OK.

Bleh, I hate these spots. That said, a) there are quite a few hands that opp would lead out with that will fold to a shove over and b) there may even be a few hands that opp will call a shove over with that you beat (or are at least flipping against like a FD + overs).

Thanks, I just checked the history and he had raised 3/15 hands and folded the rest. Bet two on the flop and wasn't called, and the third PF raise was called by two people, flop was checked, he bet on the the turn, was called and folded the river to a bet.
