Default what is your calling range here?

large field MTT, roughly 4th hand of the tournament. What range of hands do you call this with?

    $10/$20 No Limit Holdem
    8 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($3000.00)
    UTG+1 ($3160.00)
    Hero (MP1) ($3000.00)
    MP2 ($2980.00)
    CO ($2980.00)
    BTN ($2870.00)
    SB ($3010.00)
    BB ($3000.00)

    Pre-flop: ($30, 8 players) Hero is MP1
2 folds, Hero raises to $60, 2 folds, BTN calls $60, SB raises to $3,010, 1 fold, $2,940 to Hero ($2,940)?

If you can put AQ in opp's range AK is a snap call.

I prefer a fold here but I don't think a call is that bad since the shover's range is heavily weighted towards AK and I think it is just as likely that hands like 66-88 show up as hands like TT-QQ do.

This is my range too but go ahead and OPR the guy just to make sure. If you look at his stats and he busts out in the first 10% like half the time then obviously snap him off here.

Guess I should have done this. He has a pretty solid rating.

I called he had AA and it held up. GG donkey me.

Sort of odd for a good player to massively overbet the pot with AA.

it's a pretty good play early in a $10 donkament.

good players put you on AK and hero call whereas they would play much more cautiously versus a standard 3 bet.

and bad players are gonna be bad no matter what.

Yeah I can see people making the call with mid-pairs but I think people call 3-bets so light shoving probably isn't the most profitable play....

shoving mid-low pairs doesn't seem as common when you start out with 150bbs. TT+ AK or maybe JJ+ AK is my calling range
