Hand 1: I don't get it, you think Kx is in mp1's limp/call range? I would have called that donk bet.

    Hand 2: I think that's fine?

I'd say a bet from a Kx hand in this spot would be unusual. It's more normal it would be checked to you and he would call or check-raise you. I think you're ahead of his range here, so I'd call the flop bet see if he 2nd barrels the turn. I think you can more-or-less fold to a biggish 2nd barrel.

2nd hand I look to raise up here. No one has shown any real strength and AKs loses a lot unless you can get it all-in pre-flop. I'd like to see what other people think, as I don't think calling is too bad here either.

Hand one I repop him to $500 and see what he does. I bet he lays it down. Hand two, tough spot, two trains of thought re-pop to $600 and see the flop or call and see the flop. I think you're mostly right there's a pocket pair there.

Hand 1 I am calling the flop

    Hand 2 I am 3bet shoving pre-flop

The whole 3-bet/4-bet thing still confuses me. Can anyone clarify exactly what they mean?

Preflop, the blind counts as the first bet. So if someone opens, and you raise them you're 3betting.

On the flop if someone bets and you raise, it's not 3betting.

I don't understand the flop on the flop on hand 1. I don't see this guy just calling a Kx. Looks like a steal attempt to me.

Hand 1 (QQ) - I agree with the others, with position I would call this bet and see what he does on the turn. If he fires again for 2/3 pot (and we don't spike a Q) I let it go.

Hand 2 (AKs) - I think you played it fine. You need like 55%+ equity in this spot to flip against a lower pocket pair and there's a good chance that even if one of them folds that they fold Ax, meaning that you've lost some of your outs.

damn everyone thanks for the great input...

i think i may be shutting down and panicking too early or giving people too much credit on alot of hands

    hand 2...
im still not sold on, almost all of you seem to want to get it in pre at the 10/20 level??

No, what he said was that AKs wants to get it in preflop. Once the flop comes, if it's all unders, it loses a lot of power. I think he said pop it to 600 and see what happens. The problem with that in a $5 game is that A9 and TT both call the all in, and you miss. In a higher-buy-in tourney, A9 lays down and even TT thinks twice.
