only note i have on him is that he floated a small pair in a 3 bet pot.

idk i think he talks himself into a call almost always with 8x, and i think hes more likely to play 78s to JTs like this than he is a flush

I don't really think he has 8x hardly ever. He has way more two pair stuff I'd imagine.

    Who's villain?

I'm torn on sizing for river. I want a raise that will get called by two pair here, but I think once he bets so small he might convince himself of a call no matter how big your raise, figuring he 'induced'.

I need to start running good again, all I ever see here is a small flush that's afraid of a bigger flush.

78 is about the only way he gets here with an 8. Like Alexos my first thought was fine but now I'm more meh because his calling range which we beat is fairly thin isnt it?
Just dipping my toes back in.

Whenever I see players with a mid-big discrepancy between PFR/VPIP i tend to include a lot more hands in their preflop range. In this case, 78s, 89s and 8Ts for sure.

I prefer a smaller raise here, 180-190$ will get called a lot more by 8x imo, sometimes even two pair, and will save us some money if he does have a flush.

I don't mind a tiny raise to like $162. Can safely fold to a shove and get value off worse.

I hate smaller raises. If you had AsQc you would of course shove.

This is my thinking as well, and if we make it 180 or whatever and he jams we fold?

yea we fold for sure... i mean, its prolly not THAT much better than a shove, both are very close and its prolly a little FPSy in many cases

I don't know, when I see him donk the turn it's either like "lol, I'm bluffing the flush card" or "lol I'm flushing the bluff card" so I call turn since he only has outs against us with a set or As
  15. #15
Of course not, although I can imagine him taking this line with a flush.
    Check out the new blog!!!

So many hot avatars in this thread.. Why in the world does massimo not have a hot avatar? Or any avatar for that matter? It's depressing

If you're getting a good avatar buzz, ISF's sure kills that! iopq's doesn't help too much either...
