villian in this hand is really bad. last time i raised to 4k with similar stacks / position he called and a 15K stack shoved i folded and he called with 58 diamonds. so right now im not worried about having the worst hand. Can i just call this and check/bet the river, or would i be better off making the raise like i did?

It sounds like he is a station so you checking to him doesn't make sense to me.

As played I would rather just keep c/c i guess because you're really over repping your hand. if he's such a goof that he'll felt a worse hand than A9 you may as well wait to check raise him on the river.

Yeah I think this is terrible, you're not ahead of his range for putting money in to this check-raise.
