    Default steal or value bet?

90 entrants, 10 players left. I have the stats for the villian but I don't know how to interpret them yet. How do you write these stats?

    VPIP% =24
    PFR% =15
    WTSD%=52

    over 91 hands.

Previously, he tried to steal the pot from me. It was a cold bet considering our stacks after flop:

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00+$0.20 Tournament, 375/750 Blinds 90 Ante (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG (t4408)
    MP (t6765)
    CO (t30066)
    Button (t15485)
    Hero (SB) (t12220)
    BB (t14536)

    Hero's M: 7.34

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, 9
4 folds, Hero bets t1699, BB calls t949

    Flop: (t3938) 3, 9, 10 (2 players)
Hero bets t1500, BB calls t1500

    Turn: (t6938) A (2 players)
    Hero checks, BB checks

    River: (t6938) 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t3370, Hero calls t3370

    Total pot: t13678

    Results:
Hero had K, 9 (two pair, tens and nines).
BB had 9, J (two pair, tens and nines).
Outcome: Hero won t6839, BB won t6839

This hand, I am not sure if folding is correct:

I'm not sure he was stealing in hand 1 so much as making a bad value bet

shove or fold pre flop, A7o is not the kind of hand you want to take a flop with. With this stack size you should only be calling raises pre flop as a slow play or stop and go.

as played I would check turn and try and keep pot as small as possible. He's shown he'll make small bets with < TP, let him do that.

You are committed on the river after you call his turn raise, if you want to fold do it on the turn. Good example of why A7 sucks, you hit your best card on a pretty good board and did not know what to do.

    H1: Standard

H2: I fold pf but as played I check the turn and maybe call a smallish river bet. Second pair top kicker is pretty weak on this board. Plus if you look back at H1. This board hits villains range pretty strong.

I don't think his BB calling raise and UTG raising range are necessarily related.

PS I would shove over pre

    PPS you write it 24/15

WTSD% needs a BIG sample in a MTT to mean anything and I'm not even sure it does then.

I had never played a weak A up to that hand but we were 5 handed and he had a wider range. So, I thought I can take a look at the flop because it was cheap. It was time to get agressive because, each blind steal adds a significant % to my stack and I can't sit there and wait when the blinds are so big. I don't know if I should just fold A7 and wait for my turn to steal.

About his bet on the river in second hand, he knows I call him if I have it, considering the first hand. Otherwise, I would have called it again.

Edit: I thought about flatting the turn but he might have a flush draw and I can take the pot right there. Now I see it see too small of a bet to do it.

    Thanks for the stats.

This doesn't really matter when it's going to cost you most if not all of your stack to get to showdown. Or in this case you had top pair, put in half your stack and then folded anyway.

hand 2 is an easy fold imo. out of position with that type of hand will just get you into trouble. sometimes a raise here will work but never a call...

as played i check fold down...
