It is hard to lay this hand down. I was thinking if his bet on turn is a semi-bluff continuation bet if he had suited connectors. but then, he might also have 2 pair or a smaller set. Even though blinds are still low, we are wasting half our stack to an uncertain hand. If we fold we are only losing 250 and we can continue our agression comfortably.

On his side, in order to win 250 he put in 1250. lol . I guess we can beat this guy later, if he keeps this kind of play to make chips.

Beat him later? What hand are we waiting for to make a stand against him, if we're folding a set here? Odds are we won't get another hand this strong against him.

You are right we can't fold the set here. flat call on turn looks like an obv. mistake.

i actually put him weak and thought i was trapping here which is why i just called the turn hoping for him to bet the river and me push over the top, i was pretty shocked when he just insta overbet the river all in

is that the wrong play?? just callin the turn is never good here? especially from the play he made on the flop, i just thought it was weak

the problem I have with it is you don't build the pot when he has something and if he has nothing and is trying to bluff it doesn't look like you will get a big bluff on the river. if he liked his 99 on the flop the 4c isn't scaring him. And after you raise the flop it's hard to think he's trying to bluff again. If we knew he was going to jam the river it's of course a superior play

    Raise turn...
I wonder what is his range here...
    AA-KK? flush draw? lower set?
