Default $5.50 AA Flush hits on turn

I have to call this turn right, especially having the As?

Sorry if this is super standard but i want to start posting more hands here where i feel like i had a tough decision/crying fold/hero call etc. Does my line look OK?

The pot is laying you 2.8:1, which means that you'll need to win at least 25,9% of the time to call.

If he does have 2 spades, your chance of catching the flush on the river is 7/44 = 15,9%. If he has another hand that beats you, your chances are slightly better.

A lot of players at the lower buy-ins would play like this with top pair, so I think your ahead way more than 10% of the time against a random. The call is fine.

You raise to 5BB pre-flop and overbet the flop. That seems too much to me. I would have raised to t120 pre-flop. As played, I would bet around t400 on the flop.

I agree with what Wolle said. I would pretty much insta call here with an overpair and the nut flush draw.

Your flop bet seems a bit big to me. You want him to make a mistake in calling, not blow him out of water. Somewhere between 375 and pot seems right, with the view of stacking off most times.

The reason my preflop and flop bets were so high was because at this table i knew people would call, they had been. With the flush draw out there and 2 villains in hand i knew at least 1 would call.

Did he make a flush draw on the flop?
If he did, thats a strange call...it would be better for him to shove over you in this spot (semi-bluff).

I would put him with a made hand, that can be a set or 2 pair. When the flush came, he tried to push you out of the pot, since you could have a flush draw.

It is weird how different reasoning processes you find at these tables...the guy called a bet higher than the pot with (probably) a flush draw? I wonder what his play would be if the turn was not a spade card...

Anyway, its a good call here, since you can still make the nut flush on the river (and you're not quite sure if he has a made flush or top pair, for instance). Some players would play like this with worse hands than yours.

I would not bet that much PF and on the flop, but since they were calling stations, thats a reasonable attempt to constraint the field PF and shut down the action post flop.

Now i cant remember exactly what he had, but it was either middle of top pair, crappy kicker. This whole table was stations. Thanks for the feedback. Most of the hands i post are hands i won that i wonder if i made the right decision.

That's the right attitude, too many players don't post the hands that they win but rather the ones that they lose...
