    Default $27.50 FT QQ. dumb spot =(

    Reads are BB is a maniac. But a regulator manic. Blur5f6. He's been attempting to run the tables over since I statrted watching which was about the final 3.

    SB kinda 3b'ed a fair bit, mostly to my opens. But every time he showed down a 3b he always had a solid hand. Post flop he's been running me over a fair bit.

    My image is pretty laggy considering how nitty the rest of the final table. I think this spot is really close. I also think I have a massive edge on this entire table. So I think this spot is really close.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $25.00+$2.50 Tournament, 12500/25000 Blinds 2500 Ante (5 handed) -

    MP (t829824)
    Hero (Button) (t583402)
    SB (t1041458)
    BB (t1536841)
    UTG (t766475)

    Hero's M: 11.67

    Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q
    2 folds, Hero bets t56200, SB raises to t1038958 (All-In), BB raises to t1534341 (All-In),
    Hero???

    boy the hand converter should add commas.

    Just to have a number we are 45% vs top 15 % and top 5%. drops to 41 ish if BB has top 3%

    When you say you have an edge, is that in general, or in the specific case where you have a decent aggressive player and then a maniac behind you? I'm just not sure I buy that you are in a great spot here with < 20 BBs. If you had 1.5m I could see folding more.

    FWIW my gut feeling is this is a call. I think this is really close, I would fold JJ or AK without really thinking about it. The thing is BB almost always has SB beat, and our equity goes up so much if SB busts here that we need such a huge edge to call.

    What y'all think about this?

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 17.811% 17.51% 00.31% 6429985860 112106312.00 { TT-22, AQs-ATs, KJs+, QJs, AQo-AJo }
    Hand 1: 35.022% 34.08% 00.94% 12518961816 344787506.00 { 99+, AQs+, AQo+ }
    Hand 2: 47.167% 46.34% 00.83% 17021732388 303150302.00 { QQ }

    Payouts: $6344, $4758, $3568, $2607, $1883.

    I don't feel like doing the math right now on if it's an ICM call given these ranges and payouts, maybe someone else can do it, or I'll do it later?

    To clarify reads on BB, yes he was a maniac, but only because he had complete contempt for the ability of his opponents to play back at him. He was raising and 3betting like every hand for the last 2-3 tables, but at the final table a few players had some kind of a clue so he had settled down about. I'm not saying that his monkey-ing was good, just justifying that he won't show up without something really strong in the spot in the OP.

    I don't even know how to do the math on this...teach us mcat

    Stars has an odd payout structure in most big field MTT's...very low % for first.

    1st: 16%
    2nd: 12%
    3rd: 9%

    Most sites seem to give 1st about 25% or more

    If the BB is a maniac is he really considering you in the hand at all? Or is he just like "Ooohh my hand crushes SB range so AI"!

    If its the latter than I for sure snap this as his range will be wider than 5%.

    I think your ahead of the SB because of the over shove. He could easily have just 3bet you and folded uncommited if the BB woke up with a big hand. His shove screams middle pair and sometimes AJ-AQ.

    Just quickly OPRing BB, hes a losing player other than this year and 2006-. Which means he probably figured something out and was able to catch on to SB's over shove.

    Which brings me to thinking he may actually have a legit hand. BUT That doesnt mean its ahead of QQ...Given the history at the table I am calling for the triple up.

    Yes, you might have an edge over the table but you don't have the stack size to take advantage of your edge. From an ICM perspective, you are last in chips and need to double. QQ might be close considering their range, but I think that it would be a mistake to fold. If you were like 3rd in chips and they had you covered then I might see a fold in this spot.
