chardrian: Did you move aok's article, Tools for Patience in MTT, to the Recycle Bin? I don't remember doing it myself.

Still not working for me how strange. Link definately not working here.

    Edit:
Quite ironic that the post that isn't displaying is the one that advocates 'patience' haha just realised that.

It would be great if someone posted an article on restealing. Restealing seems to be of great importance in successful mtt poker and its something I am far from mastering. I would love to hear what you mtt pwners have to say on the topic.

Tools for Patience in MTT is a really good one, i try to get better to it with playing the Daily Eighty Grand freeroll, Hubbles and the PCA.

Over the last couple of days i began to only play good hands, i mean, i could make a call with Ax, but not K(x=under 10), Q(x=under 10) and etc.
Only good hands, and i think my play got better around 40% or 50%..It's amazing.
I used to get knocked out in a couple of minutes, sometimes i was just lucky. I allmost callede every hand i got, all crap cards. But now finally i learn how to "survive".
My last couple of days possition was under 1000, in a freeroll with 10000-12000 players, thats a lot better then i did a week ago.

So i can only say, for "newbies" like me, the Tools for Patience in MTT thread is very very usefull.

    Gl everybody.
    With patience you win

Here's something that mcat posted a little while ago about restealing:

For some reason people like to resteal with small suited connectors, despite the fact that their all-in preflop equity is awful. The best restealing hands are pocket pairs and suited big cards like QJs. You shouldn't resteal with weaker hands unless you have a very strong read that the person is going to fold.
I dunno how much more there is to write than that? Maybe someone would be able to write another paragraph or two and give examples. It's pretty dependent on reads.

I would love to see mcat do an advanced mathematics thread specifically geared to MTTs.
