    Default UTG and M 1.89

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6.00+$0.50 Tournament, 300/600 Blinds 50 Ante (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    SB (t1510) 25/17/7/71
    BB (t2435) 9/ 7/4/148
    Hero (UTG) (t2170)
    MP (t4760) 24/18/0/109
    Button (t2625) 14/14/0/170

    Hero's M: 1.89

villains are fairly tight and i folded last 4 hands

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, 8
    Hero bets t2120 (All-In)

That's an easy fold for wizard, but i am still convinced that the push is correct. Fold means stack about 1500 and no fold equity for next hand, on the top of that J8 is still in top 40%.

    Would you push it ?

Intuitively...I would push here. You will get a call often but J8 isnt that underdog against wide ranges. The BB and SB tend to call you wider, since they have good odds and are talking after the other players (if they fold, obviously).

Its better to shove now than to lose almost 1/3 of your stack in the next hand and lose your fold equity.

Push with clean conscience. Remember that Wizard does not take into account the order in which players will be hit by the blinds.

Personally I much prefer pushing either of the two hands before this because you have to beat the whole table from UTG, but ofcourse sometimes your villians won't cooperate with that

Am I the only one noticing there's another (fairly loose) short stack in the SB. This is the bubble.. I could see why SnGwiz advices a fold here.

People are going to be calling fairly wide, yes, you don't want that with J8o. Chances of you surviving are small imo, let the shortstack be forced to push with ATC and be busted out.

You are not the only one noticing it, however it is not the bubble, there are 5 players left, 3 getting paid, even if he is eliminated you still need to outlast one more player

I played with Wiz and whilst I think the default calling ranges are too loose, even tightening them up quite a bit still gave a -EV result for me. Because the blinds are so huge, opps are going to call wide and if we're called (which there is a very high chance we will be because they will call wide!) there is basically no hand in their ranges that we're ahead of.

Even though this isn't the bubble (Bradley, this tourney pays top 3) I would fold this and pray for a better hand in the blinds.

Oh excuse me.. I thought this was a 18 Man 6.50$. I always play those and the top 4 get payed, so I thought this was the bubble. How can I see if it is a STT or MTT that's being posted?

On Topic: To be honest, I'd probably shove in the heat of the battle here. Good to know it's -EV now.

    Look at the chip count, if it's total 13,500 or 15,000 it's a single table, if its 27,000 it's a 2-table.
