Default 4betting AK OTB gets cold called. wat.

Villain is 11/10 over a 20 hand sample

Folding preflop feels a bit weak against an unknown. But are we cbetting this flop? Doing so feels like major spew now that I look at this hand again

Yeah, I do. 4bet and get it in.

I probably play it the same. Bad players call to see a flop and check/fold when their broadways miss (including AK)

I would bet flop smaller. Otherwise hand played fine

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I read this forum, some posts are like the nittiest things ever but then you get in a spot where a tight player has a strong range and you're all advocating cbetting here.

if I bet the flop I bet $6 because he is going to respond to that bet 100% the same as an $11 bet

you can say it, but that doesn't make it true for a lot of the advice I see given in this sub-forum

Button vs BB battle is an insta 4bet pre - i open to $2 pre so my bet sizing is different but id basically bet like $13 on the flop which leaves a half pot turn shove.

Call pre sometimes, 4b sometimes(I usually call pre if they are completely unknown cause getting to showdown to see what they are 3betting is pretty hot).

I don't like to bet the flop cause we have a tonne of showdown value and once again getting to showdown to see what they are calling 4bs with is pretty hawt.

    Thats my 2c

Edited for: I don't think betting the flop to protect against what is 3-6outs or to try and bluff shove someone off an overpair(lol?) is pretty retarded

I don't understand you guys. We have AK against an unknown in button vs blind. I know its lol full ring but get it in

i assume if this were an EP vs MP battle you'd think differently?
Which is what i think a lot of people are missing here...were attacking the BB

I can understand 4betting pre but I can't understand the cbet. It's like we've completly ignored villains range and how he will respond with that range, and here we are just trying to find a way to put more money in the pot because we have pretty cards and initiative or whatever. Betting flop/turn to get it in postflop seems bad unless we have some reads that he's going to fold a hand like QQ. I'd really lean towards checking it down here as it seems like putting any more money in the pot at this point will be spew.
