    Default 50NL Hands

This guy is a huge donk playing 70/20/8.0 flop aggression and 7.0 turn aggression. I felt like I just took a less variance option by folding the turn.

    Full Tilt Pot-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (4 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($68.95)
    Button ($25)
    SB ($60.85)
    Hero (BB) ($58.10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, 9
UTG calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB calls $0.25, Hero checks

    Flop: ($2) 7, 2, 9 (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, UTG raises to $6.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $5

    Turn: ($15) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $15, Hero folds

    Total pot: $15 | Rake: $0.75

Villain has reggy, but a tad more on the tighter side, stats in only 70 hands. He has a 7% 3bet% making me believe he's positionally aware and also has 4bet 2/3 times. Should I tighten up?

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    CO ($51.20)
    Button ($10)
    Hero (SB) ($50)
    BB ($56.90)
    UTG ($58.20)
    MP ($18.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q
2 folds, CO bets $1.75, 1 fold, Hero raises to $5.75, 1 fold, CO raises to $15.50, Hero raises to $50 (All-In), CO calls $34.50

I just staked villain with a set vs. his over the hand directly before. He's running SUPER hot and playing 54/42/16% 3bet with 3.6% total aggression including 12.0% aggression on the river. River's a fold even though we perceive him to be bluffing quite often, right?

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (MP) ($172.50)
    Button ($55.50)
    SB ($50)
    BB ($50)
    UTG ($50.75)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 10, 10
1 fold, Hero bets $1.75, 2 folds, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $1.25

    Flop: ($6.25) J, 4, 8 (2 players)
BB bets $4.50, Hero calls $4.50

    Turn: ($15.25) 5 (2 players)
BB bets $8, Hero calls $8

    River: ($31.25) J (2 players)
    BB bets $25

Hand 1: not sure but I'm going to say 3b/c or fold flop and leaning towards fold. you don't have great equity against his raising range (unless he's raising worse 9's?) and you're oop so calling was the worst option imo.

Hand 2: totally standard but I understand why you would post it, I mean you're not going to shove QQ oop when this is the third time the guy has 4b you in 70 hands? Widen your 5b value range against frequent 4bettors.

Hand 3: interesting hand, I would call down. This looks a lot like KJ/QJ/JT though but I just can't bring myself to fold river after calling turn when he is possibly tilting. Timing would influence my decision here for sure, the quicker the river bet the more likely I am to call.

    1. since this guy is so aggressive, you know he's going to be betting the turn, so folding the turn makes the flop call worse, so fold there if you don't want to keep calling. Against these guys who are super aggressive and are just going to keep betting I like to call them down. He'll have a better hand sometimes, but he can't be that aggressive AND frequently have better. As you said, it's more variance, but probably the best play.

    2. standard imo

    3. This seems similar to the first hand, but you mentioned he's been running super hot, so while he's probably on the loose side of things, he's probably not AS loose as the stats show. I'm less confident about calling down here, maybe because he 3bet (even as small as it was).

After typing that I'm actually thinking, as often as he's 3betting and playing aggressively, this might be a spot where I consider getting TT AIPF and 4bet/calling, especially if you just stacked him on the last hand, he may be steaming and spew a little more than normal. I could see midpairs+, AJ or AQ+ and fair number of random bluffs in his pushing range here.

hand1: HU i think my hand is good enough to go all in against a 70/20. i would think UTG he raises TT+ almost every time. in this case 4ways it's pretty strong and it's easy to just fold flop, you only have $2.00 total invested so far. calling $5 to try and hit a 5 outer isn't worth it.

hand2: played fine (unless over 70 hands by 'tighter' you mean he's like 12/10 or something)

hand3: turn is terrible for him to barrel, board hasn't changed. if you call turn you're going to call most rivers, but folding turn isn't bad here. do you think he value bets near pot on the river with QQ/KK/AA ? unlikely. his turn/river sizing is interesting - not sure what exactly it could mean.

if I have a read the guy has maniacal tendencies in hand 1 I call him down even if he ships the river
so it's basically all about your reads and what he's been doing lately
I don't pay attention to AF

hand 2 if you fold I'll seriously cockslap you
hand 3 3.6% total aggression? like he never bets unless he has it or wat

hand 1: if he's the type to raise big with his flush draws, you have to call that turn, and check/call a non-ace/heart river. if he's the type to raise big with flopped 2pairs, ez fold on flop.

hand2: whats your 3betting looking like? i think this helps define his 4 bet range. if you've been 3betting alot, he's probably more likely to have alot more Ax hands in his range. if thats the case, i like flatting the 4bet to keep his weaker Ax hands in his range, and leading non A-high flops

hand3: i'd 4 bet pre. as played I'm assuming you discounted a jack on your flop call because of the previous hand? in that case i call the river. otherwise why did you call the turn? that turn bet sizing looks more like a value bet than a bluff.

    hand 1: jam turn.

    hand 2: fine

FFS Total Aggression is the same thing as Total Aggression Factor if you want to get technical. Sorry if you call it different things but I go according to HEM.

    Ok back to the thread.

Hand 1 - limped pot, folddd flop

Hand 2 - Come onnnn.. standard! If somehow you think this is NOT standard given villain, then you probably shouldn't be 3betting this in the first place. I can't imagine a scenario where I'm 3-betting this and then folding (for 100bbs) unless villain calls tonss of 3best and never 4bets ever in his life.

Hand 3 - Meh I can go either way. I'd probably decide if I was good on the turn and then go with that, fold turn or call call I feel like based on my read/feel. Small 3bets preflop scare meee.
