release the idea that folding makes you a coward and calling makes you brave. it's about EV, period.

I can't think of any reason to fold. BB is likely a huge favorite unless he's been cooler'd, so most of the time you'll end up with him having 10k, sb having 2500 and you AI in the BB. That is in no way a good thing. If SB wins you do get to move up but you're almost guaranteed not to win. If you luckbox here - and this could easily be Ax/22-77 vs AK vs Q8 where you're in meh but OK shape - you end up HU with half the chips.

The SB iso shoved, so he probably has somewhat of a vulnerable hand and doesn't want the BB to come in. So BB is a huge favorite over SBs range
