Default Did I move to fast?

I'm almost certain I played this hand perfect but I've got a nagging feeling in the back of my head that since it was the first hand I should have been willing to let it go.

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 1.25 Tournament, 15/30 Blinds (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool

    SB (t1500)
    BB (t1500)
    UTG (t1500)
    UTG+1 (t1500)
    MP1 (t1500)
    MP2 (t1500)
    MP3 (t1500)
    Hero (CO) (t1500)
    Button (t1500)

    Hero's M: 33.33

Preflop: Hero is CO with Ad, As
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, 2 folds, MP3 calls t30, Hero bets t160, 4 folds, MP3 calls t130

    Flop: (t395) 9s, 5d, Js (2 players)
    MP3 bets t395, Hero raises to t1000, MP3 raises to t1340 (All-In), Hero calls t340 (All-In)

You got it in way ahead, I would have played it the same. NH

Also id put a note on this guy that hes willing to call big raises with J7 and stack off with top pair crappy kicker

Don't post results, I edited them out because they can influence the advice that you get.

Small point, but I'd make it 180 to go preflop and as played just shove over on the flop. Leaving yourself with 340 behind gives you a small risk of a misclick fold (believe me, I've done it). Either way, whether it's the first hand or 100th hand I'm delighted to get it in on this flop, you're way ahead of opp's range.

Thanks for the replies! Definitely helps get rid of that nagging feeling I had. I think your right about shoving and not just for the miss click idea, after thinking about it more it occurred to me that not pushing might have made my opponent think I was on a bluff.

Incidentally after this I finished my first full SNG since finding this site and I'm trying to post the results but the tourney trimmer seems to be junking out on me, any ideas?

I think you need to have 10 posts before you can post links (which the tourney trimmer has in its output). Maybe post some hands about which you were unsure until you get to 10 posts, then post the tourney? Alternatively, PM me if you want to send me the file and I can post it for you.

No, the issue isn't with posting them it's converting it. When I hit the convert button the input field turns to garbled ascii and the ouput field is blank.

I've tried uploading the file and just pasting in the plain text. Either way I get the same result.

You need to use the raw HH that Stars saves to your hard drive, not the HH that is e-mailed to you when you request it, otherwise it won't work in the trimmer.

Otherwise, maybe the Stars HH format has been updated and the trimmer needs to be amended.
