    Default 18-man SNG bubble play

4 places paid. I figured a call was good enough here as he could be pushing any 2, plus with a stack of 3.5BB, needed to double up for a chance. what do you think?

Doubling our chips is not doubling our chances because if we win will have chips close to 5k and we will still be 4 in chips. Since, button will blind out next cycle, this should be a fold imo.

I fold and call the button with any reasonable hand if is he shoves before the bb hits him.

Even though this is a good spot to shove over mid-stacks and shorties, its not a good spot to call a shove (especially because there is a villain shorter than you and he will be blinded out soon).

Anyways, calling here is not terrible because you're against a very wide range. It seems to be a slightly +EV call in terms of chips, but I believe its - EV in terms of ICM.

calling off isn't that bad here guys, assuming that villain is on 85% ish. Just because we fold doesn't mean we are going to cash. If sb is tight and only shoves 65% then yeah we can fold. But once villain gets to ~75% then we can argue a call. I think even most brain dead guys shove here pretty wide.

Hmm, I just ran the ICM on this and it's a marginal call if opp is shoving 90% of his hands. Given the marginal nature of the hand neither calling or folding is terrible, but I think I lean towards a fold since the button is going to be commited to a hand pretty soon. Plus we have him covered so we can collude with other players to, hopefully, knock him out.

Yeah it really just depends what min edge you have it on. I change mine depending on the skill level and game that I am playing. In gerneral, I keep it really low so I always know what is profitable and what is not. I would say in general I fold in game and spite call someone I really hate.

i fold it here only because of how low the guy on the button is...i just feel you have to get ur $ in better than A8os when your most likely gonna cash if you fold

yeah you have to fold this because A-8o isn't strong enough vs. villians range to play for your tournament here. Fold and win money.
