    Default river decision

No stats on villian but he has been tight passive.

I would have probably re-raised to 1-1.5k on the turn. As played, on the river you've got 3 cards that beat you which are easily in his range. However your now getting 4:1 on your money and I'd probably call.

Take my advice with a grain of salt though and wait for a better answer from a reg

I would call the river. The only spades you are beating are the 7, 6, 3 and 2. And if he has both the 7 and the 6 you are losing to those.
Your hand is too good to fold and I don't think a raise will extract more value here, so calling is all that is left.

I agree it should just be a call. He bet 1/3 of pot on river...play it as safe as u can and just call...it's not a huge bet to call in this situation.

river is a clear call, raising should fold hands we beat except lower flushes and this could easily be a blocking bet with Kx or two pair/straight so we can't fold.

Turn is interesting, vs aggressive players I could see the call but since he's passive and betting I would assume he has something good enough to get it in. I'm not sure if the turn is a slow play or trying to dodge the bigger flush, but if you are beat here you should definitely be going broke.

yeah, I slowplayed the turn in order to extract some value on the river. I just didn't want to scare them but, I guess I am giving these guys too much credit, as usual.

What is interesting for me is that you are saying we should call any bet on the river, if I understand it correct.

No, if he shoved the river I'd fold with your read. Here his range is wide, if he shoved it would be bluffs and flushes and I don't think tight passives shove here much at all as a bluff.

possibly folding to another spade is a good reason to raise the turn. It isn't just bad for your hand, it's horrible for any non flush hand that might have paid you off. Also 7s & 6s may kill your action, or the board pairing and counterfeiting him.

But I think the best reason is passive players are not your slow play targets.

I would just shove the turn. Opp has 995 chips behind at this point so you still have some fold equity against a naked spade, and another spade on the river either kills your action or kills you.
