Default 2 Hands from 4.40 180 final table

Villain in this hand has been most active, raising a bunch, and folding to several 3 bets. To add to this, a few hands ago, one of the players called him to the river with JQ on a 1087x and the guy spiked a 9 for the river. Our villain had 96. He complained in the chat "with a gutshot!" So my read was he was raising light, and probably tilting.

Obviously once i 3bet i cant fold but was wondering if my squeeze is ok

    MP (t30516)
    Button (t89936)
    Hero (SB) (t53440)
    BB (t52201)
    UTG (t43907)

    Hero's M: 16.97

Preflop: Hero is SB with J, K
UTG bets t3555, 1 fold, Button calls t3555, Hero raises to t14000, 1 fold, UTG raises to t43757 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero calls t29757

I had been raising villain quite frequently bvb, usually ending with him folding. Besides that, nothing to note. I'm fairly confident my fold is ok i was just wondering if i could have taken a better line.

Just call and see a flop in Hand 1. If you flop top pair or a flush draw you can consider it the nuts against this guy. Jamming 53K over the top of a raise to 3500, with a hand that plays well postflop but isn't a great hand to get all-in preflop with especially at a final table where you don't want to gamble, is not something you want to do. Seems like this guy put you on tilt by trying to steal so much.

Hand 2 betting only half pot on this drawy flop is a huge mistake, other than that the hand is played fine.

Hand 1: DO NOT try to make moves on villains you perceive to be tilting with marginal hands. Why not you say? People that are tilting will get it in light but KJs has pretty poor equity versus raising ranges (even of tilty people) you are just never ahead and fold equity diminishes quite a bit vs tilting players. So just call like mcatdog said. You are getting a great price with a hand that plays well post but not AIPF.

Hand 2: Do not be afraid of not getting action on this flop. Bet more b/c not only do you price out the draws but if villain has an ace they are not folding even to a pot sized bet. Betting smaller means you miss value from Ax hands and give the draws a good price to suck out. You might lose a small amount of value if he is the type to float, or see a street with middle pair but its worth him folding those hands for the reasons stated above.

Any hand in poker...PPs and suited connectors are good so I hear. But I would also be careful when making plays like this OOP.

just by reading the review of the villian I would be calling with a range of hands from 10,10 + PP and AJ+...KJ is like stated above just to weak to be calling an all in...A2 wins in showdown if you don't hit. to much of a risk and at the final table where the pay outs jump huge in last 3 it's worth it to pass up on KJ all in. Off subject I know but revolvingiris you wrote a post on Building a Bankroll on $4.40 and I can't find it wheres it at?

Its somewhere in the pile of crap no one is reading posted by me . When I hit 1000 posts I am writing a better version that will stay much more on topic.

Basically just use the 50x buyin rule and really focus on learning how to push/fold correctly. Ranges are huge and learning to maximize pots when equity is in your favorite is all there really is to know.
