Default Some spots I find interesting.

These are random hands I have played over the last couple days that I haven't been able to come to a conclusion on. All of these are from $12 180's...

SB is decently tight but would probably call me with any mid A. BB has been shoving only A's that I have seen. Basically doubles up and then grinds back down again. I think this is a +EV shove but the situation is what I find most interesting.

To me, it seems like I should just let it go and let the big stack tackle the short stack. Thoughts?

    SB (t156024)
    BB (t41222)
    Hero (Button) (t72754)

    Hero's M: 6.74

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, Q
    Hero??

I was playing pretty lagg at the point of this. I think I was running like 35-27 or something like that. I have seen villain play maybe 5 hands and only two he turned over. One hand was villain calling a raise pf with AKo IP, flopping TPTK and just calling down. The other was villain flat calling 55 OOP, flopping a set, and check calling down. I was very tempted to call this as I have no idea why this this board looks so good.

    Button (t2583)
    SB (t18598)
    BB (t10474)
    UTG (t28880)
    UTG+1 (t20410)
    MP1 (t32349)
    Hero (MP2) (t23980)
    MP3 (t34376)
    CO (t8194)

    Hero's M: 22.84

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 10, 7
UTG calls t400, 2 folds, Hero bets t1600, 5 folds, UTG calls t1200

    Flop: (t4250) Q, 4, 10 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets t2750, UTG raises to t27230 (All-In), Hero ???

This is kind of the same situation as the one above. I find myself shoving a wide range UTG because I am worried about the blinds moving threw me. The table was pretty passive minus the SB who just lost half of his stack to button.

I think I am looking for alternative ways to steal other than just SB-shove, BTN-shove. People generally seem to have caught on to the shoving wide/calling wide in turbos. While this is not a difficult issue to deal with I just wanted to hear others thoughts.

    1st hand:

I think QJo is just too good of a hand to be folding. I would buy an argument for passing up on some borderline hands when theres an aggressive dynamic between SB and BB (ie: SB will shove 100%. BB knows this and will call wide).

    2nd hand:

    Good things about the iso..
    - you are both deepstacked

    Bad things about the iso..
    - the villain is passive and likely will limp a large % of strong hands
    - there are 5 people still left to act, which increases the chances you'll be called by someone in position or 3bet

Too many bad things going on here imo. I wouldn't even limp because our hand isn't that great and theres too many people who have position on us.

On the flop, I would guess your confused because you've seen him slowplay big hands and now he's check/raising. But you can't just make big generalizations like "this guy will always slowplay"

You didnt mention the board textures when the villain slowplayed, but its possible both boards were very dry with little to no draws. So when he has a pair of Aces or a set of fives on a drawless board, his hand is basically guaranteed to be win and there's more of an incentive to slowplay. The QTx flop is more coordinated and I'd expect this specific player to never be semibluffing and have TPTK or an overpair almost every time. Maybe you could give him KJ, but his shove is so large that we need to be sure he's bluffing a ton when you can't quite rule out KK, AA, AQ, KQ, 44

    Hand 3:

This may be close to a fold but I can't imagine it being a large mistake with only 7BBs and in most cases very tight calling ranges

Thats just it though, villain didnt slow play. He just check-called down. No betting was done at all. This play is the only real aggression I have seen this villain take.

The board textures was dry on the AK hand but the 55 flop set hand there was a FD on flop with 3 people in the hand.
