The bubble really only matters to you with a super short stack. It also may change the way others play, but you don't know that at a new table.
But, raising 6x is a terrible adjustment to pretty much any condition I can think of so that's what I commented on. And assuming people will call 6x raises because they have a big stack doesn't make much sense.
Thanks for the viewpoint. Raising 6x was used only as an example to illustrate a proportion of raise vs relative stack size. I find that if you raise 3xBB, to those with 50 big blinds or more this is just like limping so they call with a much wider range. Which can actually be a good thing, I suppose. However, if that size of raise means 1/5 of my stack then it changes things.
