there are great places to live in loads of countries around the world, i doubt that the USA is any exception. Even the world's more egalitarian societies are becoming polarised, germany and new zealand are classic examples of poverty trap cycles becoming rampant, and the gap between rich and poor accelerating.

On a totally non-politcal front, it is one country on earth where you can visit a lot of different climates, all within the same country... from desert to high mountain to river basin to flatland to etc... we have a wide variety of geography.

It all depends where you live in US. I would much rather live here in FLA than most states. Who wouldnt want to live in sunny Fla.
I think the whole of GB wants to move here by the amount of tourist we get. Other than the fact that Mexicans want to take over my state it one the best places for weather, activities, beauty in the world.

Im pretty sure our summers are longer than most major canadian cities, and our winters a tad less brutal, but I could be wrong? Vancouver is probably nicer. But still if Im gonna make a big move I want it to be at the least san fran type of weather, an ideally LA/SD..
