Default JJ on all unders facing turn overbet

Pretty early in a $5 2r1a, no reads on villain he has a few more chips cos he limp called QJ vs AA and flop came JJQ which he slow played. Reason i called flop is cos villain will usually turn his hand face up on the turn and didnt want a bloated pot when we are deepish, but the overbet confused me completely.

    any thoughts?

This is gross as it looks like villain is trying to protect against a FD. I would think the their range is basically, 88,TT+, A9 but I cant imagine this player 3-betting pf with A9. Ugh, I would probably just fold.

first thoughts for me on the overbet was AsKs.
would he really do this with QQ+ ?
the problem here is that im not sure villain puts me on anything.
smallish flop bet > turn jam is always a monster?

YOu should have check raised him on the flop and been done with it.

Now that ur in this position, u have no reads on this guy u know nothing about him. Ur range on this hand has to be A9 to AA. He probely has Ak or Aq but I wouldn't call off my chips on this hand with out knowing his play. Sick as it might be fold. Next play it more aggresive on the flopto see were u are.

    Can post his hand?

i like the way you played it, now fold. There are two FDs now plus a 3 straight, he's just scared you are drawing. Lots of people like this smallish flop bet jam turn line, probably because they get CR a lot by smaller pairs.

I'd call with QQ, fold JJ.
Playing big pots at small stakes.
