The first thing that comes into my mind is mid PP like 99,TT,JJ and he might be trying to buy it. AA would be pretty sick but then why would you bet when the villian probably doesn't have an A. Finally, and most probably, he flatted with AK preflop and is obviously betting with TPTK.

Yeah, I think this is underpairs a lot. AA is not only unlikely but absurd --if he doesn't ship it pre why he would lead into a 3-bettor with the nuts?

There is a chance he's playing straightforward but I think an Ace would typically go for a check-raise after you've shown so much strength. He can't have many flush draws at all.

I think we definitely have to call but I think it's important to instacall. If it appears we're contemplating folding he can barrel the turn again and expect us to fold. Fold most turns if he fires I assume, I think a spade will slow him down.

I would think he'd ship preflop with AK OOP but you never know. If he's just calling I suppose donking would be logical. I suppose his stack is big enough that he thinks he can call profitably with Ax.

Unfortunately thats only 7 hand combos which might be a small part of his range. This spot is really lame because sometimes I wouldn't be surprised to be shown AK. I typically just call once and give credit if they bet big again on turn

Very intresting hand. I am not sure what i do here with no read. I guess you can call and reevaluate on the turn. Probly fold to the turn bet i assume. What if he checks turn then what do we do? do we check behind? if we check behind to we call a river bet? If you dont know the anwers to these ?s than we should probly fold the flop.
