Default Bubble play vs chip leader and a short stack

This comes up quite a lot and I was wondering how you guys play it. Sorry I haven't got an example as it hasn't happened since I wanted to post this. Will try and create an example:

    Basically blinds around 150 / 300

    UTG 5500
    BB 3000
    SB 1000
    Button (Hero) 4000

Chip leader raising pretty much every pot and 50% of those raises he is pushing all in.

Short stack is doing nothing and pretty much getting blinded out so ITM pretty much guaranteed.

We have AQ and again he pushes.

    What's our move?

I guess what I'm asking is are we gunning for 1st place since his range is massive or getting ITM and going from there.

I find myself cllicking TIME as I can't decide...

This is a turbofold. It actually doesn't matter how loose or tight the big stack is here, even if he is pushing 100% we can't call due to the ICM effect.

There's a really good discussion here (http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...th-t56793.html) which shows that even AK is a fold in this spot.

Yeah I know it's a fold just can't help being frustrated when I've not seen anything for ages and also what tends to happen is short stack then doubles up and we swap places!

Good article though. What was the SNG WIZ answer. JJ+? I do know that when big stacks clash it's the rest of the table that gains equity.

I ran this in SNG Wiz with the chip leader shoving 50%, the SB calling with 10% (55+, A8s+, ATo+) and the BB calling with 3% (JJ+, AK) and your call range in this spot is QQ+.

If the chip leader shoves 100% (and all other things remain the same) your call range widens to TT+.

yes thats a defo fold wait till you make the money then start playing nothing worse than being bad beated in a situation like that, after youve sat and played a good game for an hour or so.
