Default AQ getting 2:1 turbo 180man

my first thoughts are i can fold because i raised to 3bbs with 13bb stack

next thing u know im staring at a 2:1 tempting call and confused.

villian is completely unknown. (0 hands with him)

i was thinking it could be leaned towards a call based on the buyin of the tournament being a little lower and therefore extending his range? *shrug*

    any thoughts?

Just shove pre. How many people left? If we were in the money I'd just snap it since 12-18 pays the same amount and if I win I'd play comfortably till FT.

Its a call even if his range is TT+ AQ+. I think its much wider than that. Shipping it in pre is a good option as well

generally open-shoving so as not to give anyone the idea that they have FE.

I shove preflop for sure with M under 6 (sort of equivalent to <10x BB without antes).

If you want to standard raise, I'd make it 2500 (or 2499 if that's what floats your boat) rather than 3000 and as played I call the shove.
