    Default Negreanu's BR challenge

In case any of you are interested, Daniel Negreanu is starting his own operation this month. I thought some of you might be interested.

Please note however, that Negreanu's plan differs from conventional bankroll management in the sense that he has stated he will not move down in stakes. If he happens to go broke during this experiment, he will simply give up, not on poker, just the experiment. This is in contrast to the conventional wisdom that should your bankroll take a hit, a player should move down to get their money back up. Then again, Negreanu has never quite been a conventional player. Time will tell on whether he will reach his goal.
    Naughty naughty Negreanu...
someone should point him towards ---> this imo.

I think he cares not if he goes busto during the operation. I think he is using the 500 BB rule to speed things up.

I'm pretty sure people have made 100k in less time here haven't they?

Everyone who has done it please post how long it took you to go from low stakes to your first 100k and how you did it. I'd be interested in knowing since that is one of my aspirations. I'm sure tons of other people have this goal as well.

I think this is bad news for micro donks across the globe. Do not try this at home, kids.

Agreed. Anyone who doesn't follow good bankroll management will eventually go broke if they play long enough.

Most players are losing ones and my guess is that very few make it to 100k period, let alone in a short amount of time.

I'm gonna laugh if he goes busto - even as good as he is, he could get coolered a couple times just after moving up levels with FIVE whole BI's and be done.

    No kidding, I just had a 10 buy-in downswing today. I was
-$35 with KK at one point. Finished down 1.5 buy-ins, but under his method, I woulda been busto halfway through.

He did say he would tighten his BR requirements once he got to 5/10. ROFL.

Remember though, this is just messing around for him. If I had a BR of millions I could probably put a tiny bit aside and use aggressive BR planning with that portion too .
Just dipping my toes back in.
