PS had this to say,
Thank you for your email.
The problem you experienced was caused by an unstable connection
problem from your end.
To be able to take your seat again, you will need to close the
PokerStars program and login again.
If that fails, please restart your computer and try again.
Should you continue to be unable to take a seat in the event after
performing the above, please send your PokerStars log files. To do
this, simply follow these instructions:
1) Open the Main Lobby
2) Go to Help
3) Go to Log Files
4) Select "Save Log Files as ZIP..."
5) Save the file to your Desktop
6) Reply to this email
7) Click on Attach File (or similar option)
8) Select the ZIP file located in your Desktop
9) Click OK and send the email
Please note it is important that you send us these files as soon as
you can as they are only kept for a period of one day.
Also, to be able to better assist you we need to have more specifics
about your computer and network. Please give us as many details about
the information requested as possible.
Among the things we’d need to know are:
Operating System (i.e. Windows XP w/Service Pack 2, Windows
Vista)
Computer processor (i.e. Pentium 4, 2.4 Ghz)
System RAM (i.e. 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB)
Type of connection (dial-up, DSL, Cable, satellite, aircard)
What ISP you use (company name that provides Internet service)
Router brand and model (if any – check the device for model #)
It would also be helpful if you sent us your Network Status Report for
review. In the PokerStars software, click "Help" -> "Network Status",
and then click on the 'Report' button. The report is saved to your
PokerStars program folder which you will need to locate and send to us.
You can quickly locate this report by clicking "Help" -> "Open My
Settings Folder" in the PokerStars client and locating the file
"NetworkStatusReport.log". It is best to run this report when you
experience this problem taking a seat.
Once we have this information we will have one of our connectivity
specialists take a more in-depth look for you.
Thank you for your cooperation.
