    Default tricky spot with KK

    Hero: 13k UTG
    Villain:21k MP
    Blinds: 50-100

I limp UTG with KK hoping for a possible reraise, Villain min raises from middle pos and there´s 2 callers when it gets back to me, I reraise to 800 and villain calls, the flop comes 953 with 2 diamonds, i bet 3/4 of the pot and get a small reraise against me 2.2x my raise, i call and the turn is a non diamond 7, i check to villain and he bets 2/3 of the bot representing over 60% of my stack???

This is a deepstack tourney and vilain seems like a solid player, havent picked up on any amateur tendencies...

You shouldn't have limped with the kings.

It's a must to raise hands like that initially.

Shove the flop, fail that, you got as safe a turn as you could want, you should beat him to the punch and stick the rest in. As played what are you waiting for, get it in.

basically you critizing me for creating a situation where i go HU to the flop against a single opp. with more money in the pot than a standard raise and a call would have generated ????

I do agree with you about raising kings, but when there are shortstacks on the table i like to play them with a limp on occasion so they can push all in pre...

Assuming he isn't being tricky with AA here (I would assume anyone with AA facing the UTG limp-reraise would put you on QQ+/AK and 4-bet you pre), there are by my count 12 combos of sets that are beating you vs. 18 combos of worse overpairs, plus the case two Kings, plus countless numbers of "overs"+FD (AdQd) or suited connectors that are 1 pair +FD or FD/SD combos that he could be making a move with. Flop raises are usually FOS because they think this is an airball board -- he's testing you to see if you have AA or did the limp-reraise with AK.

I like a fold with no real read. that said if you call turn def call the rest on river. I think it's pretty close.

the problem with limp RR is your stack size, you got a decent amount in pre but at the price of giving away your hand, now it feels really hard to play well because you clearly have a big pair but have no idea what he has. I would rather you limp/call and then look to trap later if you don't want to raise. If you could limp shove or get it down to a PSB on the flop this would be better.

Limp reraise got 800 in instead of 300, and its not a significant part of my stack, remember its 13k...
Anyways the as the hand played out i figured that i didnt have an especially large edge, even if i was ahead, which i deemed unlikely so i folded...

right. with KK you want a bunch of your stack in pre while you know have an edge. If you had a PSB left you'd shove the flop all day and never think twice.

minraise utg here is also a fun-goofy way to play it if folks at the table have only and always seen you 3xbb raise. I like that because you're going to narrow the field an extra player or two than if you limp, but someone is going to think they're nailing you when they consider 3betting and they think they're getting a bargain on the risk because your fist raise was small.
Either way I don't see how you fold this without an uber read. I'm shoving after his flop re-raise 98% of the time. By my count the pot's got close to 7k in it already. If he's got AA or 99, I can live with that.
