Default playing ak on the flop...

hello again... i need to improve my flop play. im not sure how much its costing me, but 'enough' would be an apt answer. i think i too readily fold, because im trying to conserve as many chips as poss for the late stages.

have pasted an example form earlier today. hope its clear.

I'm flatting the raise preflop, as I don't like re-raising with AK/s in level 1/2 as an inflated pot on a flop you don't hit can bring up situations just like this one more times than not.

But as played, I'm folding as you can be quite sure you're behind on the flop most of the time, and with 3.5/1 or so odds to call it's just not worth continuing, and no way I'm pushing over.

Pretty much what danoxford said. 3-betting preflop is OK, flatting is OK too, both have their pluses and minuses.

As played, this is a good flop for a c-bet and I would bet it a little harder, like 250 or so. Once you get raised, just let it go and move on.

3-betting with position in BvB is standard I think; your flop bet is so weak, I'd either bet more or (most likely) check behind. there's not much he can have here but by the same token, it's unlikely to hit you as well.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

    nh, don't change a thing.

I think you played it fine, I may have bet a bit more on the flop (like 250-270) but 1/2 pot bet is also ok
