Default Top Pair 2nd top kicker is beat (again)...

Playing at the 1.50+0.25$ 18 men turbos and going through a very unlucky period that streches over 2 months now.

Hands like that happen VERY often so I am asking for help of how I play the particular hand, because this is the line I usually take against the villains of this level. My hand is usually counterfieted at the turn and more often at the river. So is it bad beat period or I am not playing correctly?

Personally I think your preflop 3-bet was the worst of your possible moves. I'd either shove or fold depending on reads. Even flatting (with the intention of C-R AI on an A or Q high flop) would be better than 3-betting almost 30% of your stack when you only hit an A or Q on the flop 32% of the time.

As played, it's fine - either play as you did or just shove the flop (I have preference for getting your money in on 2 streets given the flop is not that drawy).

call or 3 bet more so you can PSB shove flop if you want, don't think shove or fold are good options vs random.
