so i guess im folding.. could i afford to cbet here on the flop? i had 1150 in chips.. the blinds were about to go up imminently and coming to me..

a min raise pre wouldve kept the pot smaller and perhaps 'allowed' me a cbet on the flop. thoughts?

    thanks

You played it fine, now unfortunately you have to fold the turn.

I wouldn't c-bet the flop, regardless of the size of that c-bet. This is one of those situations where it is likely that hands that beat you will call and hands that you beat will fold.

I wouldn't minraise preflop either - when you have KK you want to try to get as many chips into the pot as possible, and if they'll call 2x BB they'll call 2.5x or 3x as well.

played very well and totally standard as long as you folded turn.
Playing big pots at small stakes.
