Default Is Pair of Tens good here?

    Hi all.

I am doing quite well here and I am dealt a nice hand.

First of all I don't know if flat calling is good here. I guess I could 3-bet him, knowing that enough players are raising wider at this stage.

After I see the overcard I prefer to check and see what he does, also keeping the pot small for the time being.

So he overbets. I think that was suspicious and that he either had something like AK, AQ and missed so he is wants to bluff me out of the pot or he has small pockets and thinks I have something like AK. AQ and wants to make it expencive for me to see the turn an catch a card.

So first question is: is my read correct?

Second question is: Assuming my read is correct, is such an aggresive move correct? My resoning for shoving is, I don't want him to see cards for free and being sure I dominate him I want all the money on the pot.

To the question "what can he call the shove with that I beat?" I think the rest of his 7,815 and the almost 6:1 odds compels him to call, also he misread me and thinks I want to bully him out with my stack.

did you notice he put 2/3 of his stack in on the flop?

shove preflop. he put over 20% of his stack in already and is highly unlikely that this is QQ+

Yes I think that would be the optimal play at this stage. Thanks Fjuanl
