Seems fine to me, if it was the bubble you'd have to fold pretty fast but once you're ITM that ICM effect isn't nearly as powerful. I'd call, particularly with your reads - you are way ahead of his range.

Haven't you seen that Starbucks have closed a bunch of their stores?

I call the same and with worse in this spot.
And I also think that the starbucks analogy no longer fits. It should be replaced with "opening mo' often than yo momma's legs."

I didn't notice BB here. BB obv should call any 2 here, but is he the kind of player that doesn't realize this and maybe would fold a lot? If so, I might fold here even though you are way ahead of his range, assuming you are now playing for 2nd with a prayer for 1st. Generally not good to fold AQ in this spot but if you can be almost guaranteed to watch the short stack blind out in a couple orbits then fold might be the correct play even if you know villian is pushing any two.

Interesting, I ran this in SNG Wiz with the big stack shoving 35% and (if we call) the short stack calling with 6% (and assuming that BB would call with 20% if we folded) and it was only about +0.3% EV.

If we assume that the BB calls with 100% if we fold (which I don't think he will) then calling with our AQs becomes -0.5% EV. Breakeven BB call range if we fold is about 55-60% but with 4x BB I don't think he calls that wide.

why does anyone play sngs, it's as if someone specifically set out to make poker as un fun as possible, but you still get all the tilt & pain.

    fyp
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

my original quip was something along the lines of 'he was opening more often than starbucks pre-sub-prime mortgage crisis, which thenceforth led to arguably the biggest financial collapse of our era.'

i thought what i wrote was a tad catchier.
