Default Weird spot in $215 2day scoop

I just moved to the table so no reads, mp3 is ags, co is random with av buyin $8 but a winner.

Thought it would be a good spot to steal from utg since i had only been at the table 5 hands, and utg steals r the nuts.

I would feel a lot better bet/3beting if i had a gutter to go with it and i guess this is the gambolll option if i wna go for big stack.

bet/call i hate cos leaves us in a ton of meh spots

bet/fold being the other option but seems uber weak

    i cant check tho right?

    anyway, thoughts appreciated

I'd shove all day, his sizing looks like maybe he has a weak K and will fold/ship safe turns. He may even have 99, you're begging to get raised with the weak flop bet. If you were CO would you put you on AK? I doubt 1/3 pot is your standard c bet but even if so they don't know that.

UTG steals are awesome but you gave all the spooky UTG-ness away with that 3k, it makes no sense unless you're trying to induce this.

other option is check/shove, bet fold is so bad I'm sad for you that you posted it.

@ "I wish I had a gutter", you raised UTG weak, got called 3 ways and flopped huge, if getting it in here seems like gambling then fold pre. folding should have never entered your mind post flop, if it did you're playing over your roll or something. you are 45% vs Kx, the money goes in, not even close.

Of course shove, what's the point of making a raise-inducing small c-bet if you aren't going to shove over a raise with the nut flush draw?

you raised UTG weak, got called 3 ways and flopped huge, if getting it in here seems like gambling then fold pre
This times 1000. Playing too many weak hands preflop and then being scared to stack off on the flop without the super nuts is the most common trait of fish at mid/high stakes, don't do that!

ye okay so i made that bet to induce and shuv over, maybe i shuda rewinded to when sb checked. so bet/3bet is the thing i thought of immediately.

the reason i posted it was because i thought b/f might have been viable obv b/f more tho. guess not

bet fold more? in your life never ever put 1/3 your stack in then fold with any flush draw, let alone the nfd+over+bd. I would recommend no more $200 tourneys, esp in the scoop.

I agree, but more pertinent advice would be to not make loose raises from early position at any buy-in until you improve your knowledge of postflop poker. UTG steals may be the nuts for good players, but they aren't for you if a very common result will be getting multiple callers and then having no idea how to proceed.
