it's close. The question is what he'll do with weaker Ax/BWs or smaller pairs when you do this vs shoving. For example, if he'll call with A3 or 55 or JT and then fold bad flops, this is great and better than shoving. But, if he would have folded those hands to a shove you would prefer that.

Generically I would say this line is better against more passive villains, vs the aggros you should ship instead.
