Default TT flops an overpair ($27)

Shover's stats were 50/0 up to this point (only about 10 hands). Snap call right?

Yep I call this expecting to see any number of draws, A6, K6, 44-99 far more often than a good hand.

Stats mean pretty much nothing in this case though due to small sample and even if it was larger, that preflop does not always indicate tightness post flop.

Was the pre flop raise a steal?

I think 50/0 means a lot over ten hands, it's pretty hard to find a scenario where a 50/0 will turn into a 15/10. he would have needed to have been dealt 5/10 PPs (maybe with like an AJs) in EP and/or with a raise in front. Of course that is possible, but you should absolutely assume he's terrible. and not tight, but I think that was a typo?

More a value raise. The alternative I guess would be to limp but against a bad player surely a better line is to raise for value, particularly if he'll fold to a c-bet (not that I had this read, but w/e).

define value raise, then apply it to this hand.

Isn't a value raise a raise where you expect to get called by worse hands, so you're happy to put money into the pot?. I would have thought that a 50/0 limptard would limp and call a raise with many hands that we're ahead of.

Ah yes, I see your point, in most situations our flop bet is a value bet not a bluff bet, because we want him to continue with hands that we beat and it's unlikely that a calltard like this will fold hands that beat us.

yeah I think that's what I'm saying, except we don't care if he has a hand that beats us since we're paying it off always on this board. The point is if this isn't what we wanted, we should limp pre, we can't raise hoping to make a set. But this is what we wanted.

You are only calling you pair of ten for set value. It doesnt matter if you have got an overpair on the flop or having a middle pair. If you get action you dont know wheter your oppenent got an higher pair, two pairs or an set. So dont make such an action with your flopbet. You can raise at the turn if all players have checked.
