    Seems ok except river is read dependent. You say vs not good opponent but does that mean betting at the wrong times or being a station?

    Ya, if the guy is a calltard then I definitely don't bet the flop, however I might consider raising preflop. If the guy is very passive then I fold the river for sure.

    in consideration of whats been said do you still advocate a raise pre?
    im just trying to understand our thinking when it seems we dont want to be building a pot against this chap.

    Actually, just saw your stack size, with 1000 chips and blinds at 25/50 and considering your reads against this guy I think checking is the best alternative. If you had 1500 I would advocate raising to maybe 175 to see if you can take the pot down preflop, and even if he calls you have position postflop, but with 1000 chips I don't think you can spare the chips required for a raise+c-bet.
